Face shape, head anatomy and growth direction come first
Three things get read before anything is cut: the shape of your face, the anatomy of your head, and the direction your hair actually grows. A shape that fights the growth pattern never sits right, however cleanly it’s cut. No amount of product at home repairs it afterwards.
The consult is also where you’re allowed to have no answer. Plenty of guys sit down and ask what would suit them. Fair question, and a real part of the job. You get an answer with a reason attached: why this length on top, why this transition on the sides, why the thing you saw online will fight your crown.

A reference photo carries more than a sentence can, especially about length. And length is the one thing nobody can give back. So bring one. Your barber reads it as the instruction. What transfers straight to your hair, what has to be adapted for your density or growth, and how close the result will land.
No photo? Words work too, as long as they’re specific. Guard numbers, where the transition starts, how much weight stays on top. That conversation happens at the mirror. It happens at the mirror again before you leave, while a correction still costs nothing.

The cut has to survive your own sink
A cut that only sits right while a barber is holding the dryer is a bad cut. The real test is the morning after you wash it yourself, with your hands and your two minutes. That’s what the shape is built for. It’s also why weight and growth direction get settled during the consult.
So the finish happens in front of you. Which product, how much of it, and which way the hand moves. Your hair lies in the direction the hand went. Then the back and both sides go up in the mirror while you’re still in the chair. Photograph it if that helps you repeat it at home.

What if I don't know what I want?
That's a normal way to sit down, and answering it is part of the job. You get a recommendation with the reasoning attached: head shape, growth pattern, and how many minutes you're honestly willing to spend in the morning. Want to look at options before you book? Does the wash come with it, or is that extra?
It's included. The service is booked as Haircut + Wash, so the wash and the finish sit inside the $50. One price list, and no booking fee on top of it.
My hair is curly and coarse. Do you cut that?
Yes. The cut is built around how your hair grows and how it dries, and that's the part that usually goes wrong elsewhere. Curls get cut for their dry shape. Coarse hair gets controlled through the cut itself. Thick hair has weight taken out where it actually sits heavy.
What if the cut isn't what I asked for?
Say so at the mirror before you leave, while it can still be corrected in the chair. That's why the back and the sides get shown to you first. If you get home and it's off, call (954) 643-1357 and we book the time to fix it with the barber who cut it.
