ONYX Barbershop texts you about the appointment you booked. Here is every kind of message we send, where your number came from, and how to stop the texts with one word.
Who is texting you
Messages come from ONYX Barbershop, a barbershop at 135 NE 1st Ave, Hallandale Beach, FL 33009, operated by INTEGRITY EAGLE LLC. If you would rather talk to a person, call (954) 643-1357. We are open every day, 10 AM to 8 PM.
What we send
- Booking confirmation. Date, time, barber and address, sent right after the slot is held.
- Reminders. One about 24 hours before your appointment, one a couple of hours before it.
- Changes to your appointment. A cancellation, a reschedule, or a barber who had to call out.
- A review request. One message after your visit asking how the cut turned out.
- Occasional offers. Only if you agreed to those separately. See below.
How often
Message frequency varies. Almost everything you receive is tied to an appointment you made, so a single visit means a handful of messages around it. Offers, if you opted into them, go out no more than once a month.
What it costs
Msg & data rates may apply. We do not charge you for these messages; your mobile carrier may, depending on your plan.
Where your number comes from
Three places, and each one asks you first:
- The online booking form, where you enter your name and phone number to hold a slot.
- The AI Stylist, if you leave a number so we can send your result or follow up on it.
- In person at the shop, when the front desk sets up your client record.
At every online collection point a checkbox with this consent language sits next to the field, not buried in a footer. Agreeing to receive texts is never a condition of getting a haircut: you can book by phone or walk in and never give consent at all.
Two agreements, kept apart
Appointment messages and marketing messages are separate agreements with separate checkboxes. Saying yes to confirmations and reminders does not sign you up for offers, and you can drop one while keeping the other.
How to stop the messages
Reply STOP to opt out. That ends the messages to that number, and you get one final text confirming it. You can also call (954) 643-1357 or tell the front desk, and we take the number off the list by hand.
Opting out of texts does not cancel an appointment you already have. To release the slot, call the shop.
How to get help
Reply HELP for help. You get our name and phone number back. For anything that needs a person, call (954) 643-1357 or come by 135 NE 1st Ave, Hallandale Beach, FL 33009.
Delivery
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. If a confirmation never reaches you, the appointment still stands: call the shop and we will read the schedule back to you.
Your number and your data
We use your number to text you about your visit. We do not sell it, and we do not pass it or your consent to receive texts to third parties or affiliates for their marketing. Everything else the site records is listed in our Privacy Policy.
